How a plan works
What a plan is
A Nsromapa plan is hire purchase, not a loan and not a rental. You pay a deposit, take possession of the device immediately, and pay the balance in instalments over about 52 weeks — weekly, every two weeks, or monthly, whichever you agreed. Ownership passes to you automatically when the final payment clears.
The total you pay is fixed when you sign. It does not vary with any interest rate, and it does not increase because a payment is late.
Ownership while you are paying
Until the plan is paid in full, the device remains the property of Nsromapa. You have the right to possess and use it under the agreement, but you may not sell, pledge, or permanently transfer it to someone else while a balance remains.
A device management profile stays installed for the life of the plan. It exists so that the restrictions set out in your agreement can be applied if the plan falls into arrears, and it is removed permanently once ownership transfers to you.
If payments are missed
Enforcement is staged and always preceded by notice. Reminders come first; then app restrictions; then a narrowing to essential functions; and only at the end, a device lock. Emergency calling is never disabled at any stage.
Every restriction is reversed automatically once arrears are cleared. The specific timings that apply to you are set out in your own agreement and are shown to you before you accept it.
Where a plan cannot be brought back into good standing, we may recover the device in accordance with the agreement and applicable Ghanaian law, including any notice period the law requires.
Paying early
You may settle at any time. There is no early-settlement penalty and no fee for requesting a settlement figure.
Your right to the written terms
Before your plan activates you receive a written pre-contract disclosure setting out the cash price, the total payable, the deposit, the instalment amount, the number of instalments, and the consequences of default. You acknowledge it with a one-time code sent to your own phone, so nobody can accept on your behalf.
A copy remains available to you in the Nsromapa app for the life of the plan, and on request afterwards.

How we handle your data
What we collect
Your identity details and Ghana Card information, the documents and photographs collected during onboarding, your contact details, your payment history, and technical information about the financed device — including its location while the plan runs.
Why we collect it
To verify who you are, to assess affordability, to administer your plan and payments, to contact you about it, to enforce the agreement if it falls into arrears, and to meet our obligations under Ghanaian law.
Device location is collected because the device is our property until the plan completes and it is the only security behind the finance. It is a condition of the plan, it is disclosed in your agreement, and collection stops when the plan ends.
What we do not do
We do not read your messages, photographs, call contents, or the accounts you sign into on the device. The management profile does not provide that access.
We do not sell your personal data.
How it is protected
Identity numbers and phone numbers are encrypted at rest, and access to customer records is restricted by role and logged. Sensitive actions require a second authorised person to approve them.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and in defined circumstances ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond within the period the Act allows.
Where we rely on your consent — for example to check a credit bureau — you may withdraw it, though that may mean we can no longer offer you a plan.
